Come to think I might have lost some of the coolant during changing my intake and cleaning IAC valve?

Yeah, that's probably it. If you didn't bleed the system after performing that work then you undoubtedly have air in your system.

I bet you that the noise you are hearing when you are near walls is just your exhaust leak. As far as finding the vacuum leak some red can brakekleen will work. You just spray it around the engine and if you hear the engine rev higher, start looking for the vac leak in that location.

I wish someone else would chime in for you. I do ok, but I'm no mechanic.

First thing I'd do is get the air out of the coolant system. That be a great time to flush the coolant as you already suggested.

Then get that exhaust leak squared away. It seems far fetched, but I have heard of exhaust leaks affecting performance of O2's. and O2's have a huge influence on how the car feels. While you're down there, take out the hfc and have a look. Make sure that it too hasn't broken apart and is hindering flow.

Then after those two, give a good search for vac leaks. There aren't that many hoses in this car's system... Just trace them out and use that brake-kleen (red can) trick if you're not sure.

Besides that, you can either wait for some codes to pop up or just start back at the basics.
-make sure that everything on your air filter is snug and in place. Make sure your filter is clean and dry.
-make sure you new plugs are torqued correctly and the seals aren't torn
- double check the valve job that Honda did
-double check you compression numbers.
-double check for leaks in the fuel system.
- tap the fuel rail and check for adequate pressures at idle/higher rpm's as suggested by the manual. I can get you those numbers if you need them.
-maybe take it to a place with dyno and see what the that can tell you. You can get real time air/fuel there too.
-don't take it back to that dealer. None of those guys have the time to do true diagnostics. Search you areas forums and see if you can find a good speed shop that has an s2k mechanic, Or just a local guru.

I had a problem similar to yours. My power loss was noticed most just scooting around town, not wot. I did have a code show up after a week or so, but it was evap related and everyone knows that evap doesn't affect engine performance. In my case it did... I squared the evap system away and my car was back to it's old self.. Night and day.

Moral of the story is; if you know you have some issues unresolved, knock them out first, then start at the foundation. Sorry you're having such a hard time with it.

Hey I really appreciate you helping me out with this as fat as the things you suggested

1. I tested for the vacuum leaks using the torch method because I had one around and noticed no increase in idle anywhere...don't know if the brake cleaner is better than the propane torch?

2. I took off the HFC (had to start the car up to bring it Into the garage) and when I took it off there was water or condensation around my 02 Sensor..the HFC has a leak right at the bottom where water drips out on start up, but eventually goes away. Now another problem I'm having with this HFC is when I butt it up to the headers and stock exhaust there is maybe a half inch of play between the HFC and exhaust if I have it tight to the headers. When I took the stock cat off there was barely any space between the pieces after unbolting it...is this HFC just to short.

3. I did another compression test yesterday and I don't have the numbers in front of me right now but I would say it averaged about 245 to 255..even had a 265 in there...but I'm pretty sure they were that high because of my compression tester does not reset all the way to the resting thing. (It resets at the top of the bar that says zero rather than the bottom)

4. When doing the compression test..while I was starting or turning over the car it's was very sluggish. Kinda sounded like a car trying to start with a dead battery..I remember the first time I did it the car would turn over pretty fast just as if you were starting it but without it starting...is this a problem

Ok so I got around to flushing my coolant today...and for wutever reason the car feels better...there is still a little bit of lag when I stomp on the gas but not as much as before. I'm not sure if there is still air in there. I used about a jug and a half of the Honda Coolant. My heat seems to be blowing fine. Should I have that much coolant left over or could I possibly still have air In it. This is my first coolant flush I've ever done so I want to make sure I did it right. I followed Billman's procedure.

I'm also curious why it feels slightly better after the coolant flush...could the air have affected one of the pulleys to cause a power loss? My alternator was working correctly so I don't think that was an issue.

The amount of coolant sounds about right...having allot of air in the system will cause inaccurate coolant temp readings which the ecu uses to adjust other things it's trying to run.......

This reminds me of my Insight ownership, total drama. Chasing down and replacing so many different things only to dump it.
Good luck post back when you figure it out

Look up "Eric the car guy coolant bleed". I just purchased one of those funnels for myself. I've never had a problem with coolant bleeds, but this funnel is a sure fire way make sure all of the air is out. As long as that funnel doesn't go empty, you've cycled your car through a few fan cycles and there are no more gulps or major bubbles, you're good.

I ordered mine off amazon.

In some other videos he talks about the relationship between the iacv and air in the system. As AZ has already stated there is a relationship between coolant temps and the ecu's actions towards air/fuel. What that relationship is, I have no idea, haha. Just trying to sound smart

Lol..I could see how that makes since...after driving to work today about 30 mins my coolants resovoir is low again and when I lift off the radiator cap it's full... I think there is still some air in there I'm going to try and bleed out today.

When my fan is on high heat it really doesn't burn my fingers while just idling , but while giving gas it does.
