Yea so I just did that method and still nothing else. I also picked up a new fuel damper going to install that to see if it changes anything...also do I need anything special to adjust the valves if they need to be or can I just do it with a wrench and screwdriver.

Not really anything special with adj valves besides the correct feeler guages, if this is the first that you have adj. valves i would be very careful and maybe have someone show you how to do it, it can go bad if you dont know how to do it.

Yes this would be my first time which is why I'm a little nervous. I think I May bite the bullet and pay the 70 dollars and have honda tell me what's wrong with it. Then hopefully it will be an easy fix. Right now I'm leaning towards intake or exhaust manifold leak...possibly a valve adjustment...

Also I just replaced my 02 sensor with a universal boch...but I also have a new oem 02 sensor (which I took out until I get this problem sorted out) my question is is it possible for an 02 sensor to be bad and not throw any codes... I have the problem with either sensor installed. Just trying to rule out the. 02 sensor

If the o2 was bad the check engine would come on after driving, 70$ is super cheap diag labor rate for Honda....if you are going to bring it to them-throw the oem o2 sensor in because they are not going to like seeing an aftermarket one, they may tell you to change it anyway and you'll just run around and waste your time, make sure to try to have everything oem on the car before you bring it in, it will make yours and they're lives easier

So I should put on my old oem cat before bringing it.? It rattles because it's loose on the inside. Or should I leave my berk cat on? I was going to give them the oem o2 sensor also just so they don't try blaming it on that. Is there a chance this Berk Cat is giving me problems.. It was fine when I installed it until I changed my belt and had this power issue.

And leave the k&n intake or back to the stock?

Put the oem cat on, the k&n should be fine as long as the filter is clean....when you take the Berk cat off inspect it

I've been playin around with the cat for the last few days trying to get rid of the leak and the berk cat looks fine..when I pulled the 02 sensor out there was condensation on it so I dried it out with a blow gun and there was no effect. But the cat itself looks fine, nothing's loose and not clogged

Do you have any options of local s2k enthusiast/mechanic/guru? My experience with letting the dealer diagnose things for me has been fruitless.

They usually won't bother with real diagnostics, they'll just tell you the mostly likely scenario and hope you bite.

If that's your only option though.. Is what it is.

I've been there man, I was lucky enough to get a code to finally pop up, but without that I would've never found it. Good luck with it all.

No I don't know anybody around who is really good with s2000s..to tell u the truth I only see 1 or 2 others around and that's like once in a blue moon...so ya not a lot of s2000s where I live. I explained to the service guy I've had problems with honda in the past and told him I'm only bringin the car there if they are going to spend the time and hook it up to machines and the whole 9 and he assured me they would. I would just rather pay 70 than keep tossing money where it don't need to be. And hopefully they tell me something I haven't checked yet.

I wish a code would pop... But then again it will probably be a misfire code again and p*** me right off.

im sorry if I missed it, I know you said you did a couple compression tests, but have you done a leak down test? with the sluggish-ness and coolant issue you could very well have a head gasket issue, warped head, bent valve...seems like you've ran the gamut as far as things you could possibly diagnose yourself
