Default Maintenance Required Light

Is it normal for the Maintenance Required Light to come on at 132xx miles?

the maint req light is based on mileage only as a dummy light for those who don't keep track of their mant. sked.

Thanks, that's what I thought I just found it strange that it came on at such an odd number.

It comes on after a predetermined number of miles (I think it's 7500) and the count up starts from when the it was reset the last time. So, if you reset it at 8354 miles, then 7500 miles later, the light will do its thing again.

To reset just push and hold the trip button, turn on the ignition and keep holding the trip button for more than 10 seconds.
