Default Maintenance required light blinking on startup

Hey guys I just started to notice that my Maintenance required light is blinking whenever I turn on the car. And before you ask im not getting it confused with the CEL. It blinks 10 times (I counted). I know its mostly a reminder light to take care of the car but isnt it supposed to stay on? Car has 73,xxx miles.

hold the trip and the other button together, keep holding then and turn the ignition on until everything stops blinking,

on your next startup it should be gone!

It blinks as just a warning. It'll eventually go solid when you actually hit the maintenance required "period".
