Flushing / Bleeding the clutch fluid?

I agree with Prolene and would like to add that the "sock" or whatever it is called might be a worthwhile addition. The resevoir appears to be well vented and that allows the crap to get in and if so...probably mucho moisture also therefore change it.

FYI: I bled the clutch fluid again with the back of the car jacked up (higher than the front) and that seemed to fix the problem.

I hate to disagree with cdelena, but I find that my clutch fluid ALWAYS looks nastier than the brake fluid. I'm not sure why... the brakes get MUCH hotter, plus you have the presence of brake dust. Maybe it's the radically reduced volume?

My clutch fluid always looks nastier than the brakes and I've noticed in extreme cases the speed with which the clutch engages/disengages is sometimes affected (i.e. I grind more easily). I ALWAYS change the clutch fluid when I do the brakes, sometimes more often than that. Check your clutch fluid, I guarantee it will be darker than the brake fluid (at least I think that means it's picked up more contaminants).
