Fried clutch?

well like an idiot i did a burnout 2 day shifted 2 second though i was rolling and spinning but my clutch was just spinning on the fly wheel

i stoped and it reaked!!!! bad all most wanted 2 vomet, and smoke poured from underneath the car.

I let it cool drove it home and put it in 6th and flored it no slipping even in 1st 2nd nothing so idk i gues i got lucky i have 77,000 miles on my stock clutch.

Mine did the same, it passed the kill it in 5th test and the 6th and floor it. I guess I'm okay. Maybe I just did a real quick driveline break-in. The car only has 10,000 on it. Thanks for the info guys.

i did the same thing a couple months ago. i tried a 7k rpm launch, but instead of side stepping the clutch, i just pulled my foot off quickly, well, it wasnt fast enough. the clutch slipped for a couple seconds, then that horrible smell came. i also had some smoke from underneath the car. clutch is still holding good. i guess if this has happened once, and not ever again, it might be okay.

When I had my eclipse...I super heated the clutch to the point where it was slipping like something fierce. Let it cool for a hour and threw it down the strip again and it was 1/10th faster and the clutch is still going good with 160k miles on it...I would try the uphill action in 6th gear to see if it is fried. If it holds you are good......no reason it should be fried at 10k miles unless it was glazed early in its life...
