Front end clunk

you may also have a broken spring just check may be something else thou

^ yeah that is true.. I remember once seeing a Ford Focus with that kind of clunk and the driver's side spring had snapped in 2.. good suggestion Professor!

yea? i had to diag a ford exploder with a front end clunk. end up being a broken mount on one of the front shocks.

but the s uses a different set up hehe

When was the car last aligned? An alignment bolt that was not fully torqued will result in a clunk when the suspension is in lateral stress.

There are plenty of horror stories indeed. FWIW I had an 03 explorer that I got with 65k miles on it. I got rid of it at 110k. That truck saw plenty of abuse offroading in the woods, URBAN offroading with curbs, steps, gardens (dun ask me why, lol). That truck even saw moderate twisty runs where all 4 rotors turned cherry red. Also lots of over the hubs water immersions, bottom outs and running aground all the time, and that shit never ever failed me... balljoints were tight and alignment perfect. I love Ford trucks for that.

OP: Did not mean to go offtopic on your thread. I suggest you check your upper A-arm bolts. My integra had that clunk when they got loose due to an a**hole tech at a shop. And last but not least, check for worn out bushings

haha nice. glad you got a good batch of ford there. im not gonna ask but i take it a little off roading on peoples yards

i havent heard anyone on this forum about worn out bushings yet. maybe i havent looked hard enough
