Default fuel hard line

Today after I got to my friends house and shut the car off for a few hours, i went to turn it back on. When I turned it back on i noticed a pretty strong smell of fuel. we poped the hood and notice that fuel was coming out of the banjo hard line. it wasnt just leaking either it was shooting out in a fan shape also.

I know im gonna have to get a new one before i even move the car but I was just wondering if anyone has ever had this problem also.

I will have pics of the piece I am talking about in about 30 mins

check your big engine mounts. Could be that they are bad, and allow engine to move too much under torque.

That is definitely a big problem with our cars. If Eds got anywhere near as many miles as I do the rubber bushings in his mounts will be shot. However I cant really picture that causing this hard line to crack? One concern I had when thinking about this issue is that you MAY have to remove the intake manifold to get under there to replace it, and thats a massive pain in the ass unless you just remove the entire head. Im gonna run outside and look at my engine bay and see how that fuel line is routed. When I took my motor out I did remember that line being under the intake manifold. Let us know if youve had any luck with this man good luck to ya

yeah i was able to take it off from the top then go under the car and disconnect it from the fuel line tht trails to the rear
i ended up buying a new one which set me back a bit but got everything squred away and shipped out yr parts also.

but i still dont know how the line cracked. there was nothing putting pressure on it frm the outside. it was pretty firm on both ends also so there was no play in the line. I was just trying to see if anyone else had one threw this problem.

While your engine bay smells like an overturned gas tanker truck, might as well pull fuel rail and look inside. Is there any obstruction? Also, see if the return line is good and free of obstacles.

Engine mounts might not be shot, but loose, say, from a recent clutch change, when you loosen up the engine cradle, also called the k-frame, to which the engine mounts through guess what? - engine mounts.
