Default Gas guzzler :/

Picked up the car today. After its been sitting for a month, put fresh gas. Drove about 35miles and noticed 3 bars went down, this was highway driving. Than in the city it dropped another two lines, not even another 20miles so total 50miles on almost 4 or 5 lines. Highway I got to 6500rpm but otherwise its been nice cruising. I am at 99,600 miles and needs spark plugs and possibly valve-adjustment, would those two have that much of an impact. I am also thinking of replacing the Pre-Cat O2 Sensors which definitely influence fuel economy.

Those lines aren't very accurate at all, its impossible to tell if anything is wrong unless you give us a mpg or full tank to empty tank number.

Alright, I'll have to calculate it up. Just sucks seeing it going down so fast, faster than usual. Than again if it isn't accurate which I agree 100%, than it could just be me. I mean I parked the car, passenger side on a sidewalk, get back in a few minutes later and the fuel went up a few lines. Weird weird

yea, its very common for my fuel gauge to move 3 even 4 bars within a matter of minutes...ill park and it will go back to where it was...the fuel gauge is definantly not accurate on this car

Haha. Not very accurate at all. I fill all my vehicles all the way up anyways. I get 280-300 miles per tank. Equals 25-27 mpg

Not that weird, really. As stated above, calculate MPG based on a full tank and don't rely on the gauge.
