Green Flashing Key with JDM ECU
Hi Guys,
Having some issues that I thought were straight forward but cant seen to solve. Some history:
1) Purchased a 2005 car from Europe minus the engine and a few harness bits. Car came with a key in the ignition, but this was a spare key with no immobilizer/transponder chip on the inside.
2) Purchased an f20c(USDM) from Miami
3) Acquired a JDM ecu to avoid any immobilizer issues I may have (did I really think it would that easy)
So I finished up putting stuff together installed harness, engine and ecu and the green key light came on and stayed on, which is not supposed to happen with a japanese ecu, or so I thought. Secondly, from my research the immobilizer disables the fuel pump. However with no modifications to wiring, my fuel pump comes on and primes just fine. Thirdly, when I swing I get no spark. I checked all fuses, checked for ignition power and ground continuity at the coil connections and continuity between the coils and the ecu. Everything checks out but still no spark.
Any thoughts?
