Arrow hard getting into 6th

so i have this ebay short shifter ( iknow should have got the axial) but ever since i put the damn thing on for about a year and a half ago i have to change my hand from my palm facing inwards towards my leg to the opposite direction when shifting to 6th, if you can understand that. usually if i dont i kinda have to not force it but "find" its way if you call it that in there and cant shift into 6th smoothly and softly i have to be rough and its only on 6th. Any suggestions comments advice, got the same problem on short shifters or is this shifter how bout the axial does it happen with that shifter????

ebay special? ... I would put your stock shifter back on. Thats prolly not what you want to hear though. ..... I dont see any technical advice benefiting your situation other than simply changing shifters ..... I've read alot of problems with short shifters long term..

alot of people buy the s for the shifting feeling, i think it's among one of the best if not the best within the niche.

but just curious how does it feel for 2 to 3 shift? does the shorter throw makes it go up, then right and then up? it happens to alot of cheap copy shifter, the throw is too short to do any good.

regardless your gonna have to go to right up and right again to get from second to third but i usually go in a diagonal motion so i dont know if that makes sense to anyone but all in all i want a axial short throw

Given that a short shifter increases shifting effort, I'm not surprised. A lot of guys "backhand" the 4-5 and 5-6 shift even with the OEM shifter. You're probably better off with that technique anyway as there is also the risk of a missed shift with a short throw.
