Forgive me if this has been answered before...I couldn't find it anywhere if it was...

There is a "stair-step" in the line that the tops of the HID beams form because the headlights aren't vertically aligned quite right...is there a way to fix that alignment so that the beam has a continuous line (no stair-step)? Is that something I can do, and if so, how?

Thanks in advance!

Actually no. The step is designed into the light.

And I believe the step is always high on the side away from traffic. Which is to say on a different side in US vs. UK models.

I had the same thought though, first time I saw 'em.

nope, unless you shave the plastic peice inside the lens.
My body shop mistakenly aligned the bottom of my right light with the top of my left light. I got even more high beam flashers.
