Default headlight problem

so both my low beams went out....the story was...i guess on the passanger side my tire wore out the wiring..so the right side went out...i fixed it....its been raining alot the past month....and both my lights went out...my high beams still work(hid high beams) i dont know if its the bulb or the ballast...whats the chances of both going out at the same time...all my fuses are good also...how can i check to see if its the ballast if both dont work?

If I recall correctly, the high beams are only a 55w halogen bulb.

An easy way that I use to determine if your ballast burned up due to water is to remove it from the housing, and first check for wetness, and then smell the part where the connector goes in. It will smell burnt if that's the case. I lost 2 ballasts due to water.

How did your tire wear out a headlight wire?

^The fender liner is probably gone and the wiring's probably in bad shape.

OP: There's a chance that water got in there. Or there may be an issue with your headlight switch or relay.

You really should run fender liners, BTW.
