Default Help: Car wouldn't start this morning

I tried to start my car this morning: it chugs, but it won't turn... also the dash lights fade on and off... could this be a battery issue?

I've had dead battery problems before, and i remember it sounding different (the car would chug first, then stop chugging and then you would only hear the starter clicking...) in the S today, it just keeps chugging (no clicking)

I changed my oil yesterday, and I still have full oil. Also, it is really humid out... maybe it has something to do with that?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks everyone.

Mike

try to jump it first. Or you can try the push start lol tell someoen to push the car from the back and start it up while its on a roll. on ur battery make sure you don t have any crap on it. but to the most part im pretty sure its a battery issue good luck

Do you mean it turns over but it won't fire? Meaning the engine is turning but it does not make any attempt to run as in it seems to be lacking either fuel, air, or spark?

And the "dash lights fade on and off", meaning they get dimmer and then brighter?? As in dim when the starter is turning over but brighten back up when you take your finger off the red button that says "Start".

If I am translating you correctly then it is probably not your battery, though I'm sure it is drained by now.

thanks for the reassurance... i hope its just a battery issue.

i had to rush to get a ride to work, so i didnt have a chance to try and jump it or anything. I'll do that when i get home.
