Here are some pics of the instal It went well only about 2 1/2 hours start to finish
The car is a bit louder/deeper sounding up front and there is a noted improvement over the OEM not like a shot of NoS but better.
The header went in from under the car, there was no way it would ever go in from up top.
I had it jet coated inside and out. By having it coated inside it drops the header temp about another 50* to 75*F also it is very smooooth inside

The exhaust as it is now...Comptech header, Spoon test pipe, JIC Magic 505 stainless and titanium single exit exhaust and single outlet bumper cap to give it a finished look.

note: that the header is not hanging to lo

Nice Puddy

It's lots easier when you go in from underneath

I removed/installed the oem header and Rick's header more times than I care to. They have plenty of space. I can't seem to get this one to pass between the engine/tranny and the mounts. How the heck did you get the Comptech to fit up from under the car? I am about to pull my hair out. I'm working on very little sleep for about a week now. Perhaps I just don't have the patience, however, this piece has to go in in the next couple of hours.

Skip
you put it on a hoist block the engine and remove the motor mount thats in the way. Drop the hoist a hair lifts the motor and it slides right in. That's how my Toda wen it. Never did like the Toda as it hangs a bit lower than stock.

Look like the one puddys got doesn't have that problem.

Thanks, but that's not an option right now. I'm in my garage. And the Comptech does sit lower than stock... I took side-by-side-by-side pictures of stock, Rick's, and Comptech.

Edit: I got it in without removing anything out of the ordinary. It took one part patience and one part "finesse."

Glade you got it I just read your post and was going to have you give me a call so I may help.

HI Skip -- glad to hear that Rick's header is an "easy in deal" ... guess I will attempt mine myself then.
