Default help please

evening gents,

I unfortunately turn back to you with a problem.

some of you my recall my previous problems with my s2k. I was going to pursue a legal battle against the dealership that sold me it. (decided against)

on my way home this evening I've had yet another issue.

oil light flickers on when the revs drop down to idle (doesn't stay on just flickers)

I've never run this car low on oil and I had a full oil change less than 1000 miles ago (no flakes of metal were found)

my s2000 now sounds like a tractor and I have no vtec pull but the car will still rev to 9k.

I preying to god your not going to tell me my engine is f***ed but I need some help asap.

car has done 62,000 miles, 2006, TCT just replaced.

Cheers

The car has low oil pressure at idle that's why the oil light flickers and you have no VTEC. Its hard to tell you what kind of damage is done without looking into the engine itself. I would assume that if you drop the oil pan you will find metal on the bottom of the pan. I wouldnt drive the car until you open the engine up to diagnose the problem -or- you can run it to the ground and just purchase a used engine for about 1500.

Sounds like your oil pump is going bad.

I wish it were as simple as run it into the ground, the car is a daily and is on finance. ive only had the car 6 months and have spent a fortune on several different bits. my mechanic is back Tuesday so ill see if I cant get it down to him

I doubt that the oil pump is bad at 62k, I think the car was damaged before you purchased it by another owner. Most likely it was ran low on oil and than traded in.
