SRS unit is a one shot deal. If the airbags deployed and the SRS unit was not replaced, it will need replacing if you are trying to get the SRS system back online. Also I think the seat belt pre-tensioners are a one shot deal also, so if they were not replaced at the same time as the seat belts they may also need replacing to get your SRS system functioning. Also as far as I know if your SRS light is ON, the SRS system is disabled and will not deploy.
I would recommend that any work on the SRS be done by proffessional. Good luck

Airbags will not deploy if you don't change the SRS module. So basically if you rehook up a new driver airbag and don't change out the srs module and srs reel (behind the airbag) then they won't work.
