Drop a tool or the oil filler cap into the engine compartment?

Not that I am aware of but will check to see, the mechanic that was working on my car was in Texas. This is where I was stationed the last thing he told me was he believed that it was a TCT valve but looking at all the threads and video I don’t know If my sound is the same.

NO, doesn't sound like timing chain tension issues. I'd check for loose parts around the engine, first. May need to use lighted inspection mirror. Some places are hard to see clearly.
Good luck! Hope you find it. It'd be a cheap solution.

I don't profess to be any sort of expert. But I'd be very nervous about running it. It seemed to be surging (running unevenly) in addition to the sound.
If it was my car, I would be taking the top end apart for a visual inspection. You have an AP-1. Maybe you are about to drop a valve.
You are not so far from Billman. I recommend that you make an appointment and arrange to flat bed it to the end of Long Island. Lot cheaper to rent a car for a few weeks than to buy a new engine.
He has a thread in the Metro New York forums. Find him and send him a PM.

Thank you, yes I don't use it at all its in my garage since I brought it back from Texas. I will try to get a visual inspection of it to see if I can find the problem.
I would definitely contact Billman, I have heard great things from everyone about him on these forums.
Thank you so much for all the help.
