Default How Do I Map Whack?

Lately my car has been shakey after coming off the gas, returning to idle and I was wondering what it could be. I tried cleaning the IAC and resetting the ecu followed by letting it relearn the idle. The spark plugs, coil packs, and fuel injectors were also replaced within the last 15k miles.

I came across this thread when searching for MAP whack and was planning on doing that next, but the first post only has a link to the service bulliten. https://www.s2ki.com/s2000/index.php...&t=549145&st=0

Does anyone have any steps to perform the procedure or have any idea what the problem maybe?

Thanks, but thats the exact thread I already linked to in my first post. There is no DIY or how-to in the thread. It must have been deleted or removed.

You whack it by cleaning and securing with a zip tie.

You whack the map lightly for 20 seconds with a screwdriver handle while lightly revving the engine up and down.

But that is not your problem. How did you clean the iac? If you used cleaner instead of splitting the halves and freeing the shaft, you likely accomplished nothing.

Thanks for the how to. I did clean the IAC by spraying cleaner and letting it sit for a bit. I'll try to clean it again properly and see if it fixes my issue.

You have to make sure the rotary valve spins freely.

I cleaned the IAC properly this time, and a lot more gunk came out of it. The car idles like normal now. Thanks for all the advice!
