IACV solenoid "i messed up"
Took the solenoid off the valve. (the 1 with the 2 5pt torx screws)
When i was putting it back together, a small metal piece fell out of the solenoid.
The end of the rotor shaft fits into a hole for guidance and there is a locator tab on this end of the shaft also.
First time putting it back together, after warm-up idle would go from normal 800rpm. Them it would rev to appro. 3000rpm and back to normal. over & over till I shut it off.
Took solenoid off the valve again and rotated the shaft 180.
No change, same thing happened.
Question)
I there any DIY showing how to assemble the solenoid on valve?
Or a little help please

The metal part that fell is one of the special hourglass shaped washers, there are two. They go between the valve and the motor.
If one is missing, the Iac shaft will bind in the motor, causing the ECU to hunt for idle establishment (up-down idle)
Find the washer or something of same thickness.
IAC shaft tab clock position is pointing directly towards the intake mainifold (9 o’clock as viewed from the front of the car)

I understand what your saying, So I really f'd up.
I put it (1) @ the end of the rotor, so it's @ the bottom of the stator.
Are you telling me these are in slots on the side of the stator? Between the rotor & stator?
Thanks again, Mike
