Default Inconsistent clutch pedal feel

my clutch feels very soft sometimes, normal sometimes, and rough/too firm sometimes. after revving it high, it gets very soft. it's also sticky at the bottom sometimes. myself and a few others came to the conclusion that i had air bubbles in the line, and bled the clutch. the clutch felt perfect for a whole day then went back to the way it was before. we bled it again, then the same thing happened again.

do you guys think there is a leak somewhere in the system? or did i just not bleed it well enough both times??

side note: i'm going to be changing my clutch/flywheel this week before i put in my CTSC/AC. i don't think this will affect the inconsistency in the pedal feel though (am i right?)

thanks

i had the same feeling, turned out it was a bad slave cylinder, just so happened i had a spair. not sure how much they run but its like 3 or 4 bolts if i remember correctly. it took me longer to re-bleed the clutch then to replace the cylinder. good luck!

there is a tsb for this. ask slow maybe. you jack the car, remove the slave cylinder, and boot. then you pop the fork off of the throw out bearing, you need to lube all of the points where it contacts. the leverage points, the ends of the forks, and the ball where the slave pushes. use antiseize, or caliper grease. it will be so smooth after that, youll trip. i do this every 3 months, now that i know what its supposed to feel like. mine got so sticky, i was bent. then i heard this info, and now..DAMN!!! later dave

i've heard of this. will this only help the stickiness on the bottom of the stroke, or the overall feel?? it seems way easier than the bleed lol. i'm going to try this probably tomorrow.

thanks
