The car instaled on was a 2004 AP2, Dean will be on the dyno at Stage 6 in Jax. Florida next week. He or I will post the numbers on the HP gain/lose
I can give you a few impressions from the ride home last night. The exhaust tone has changed a bit (for the better IMO), the car seems to idle a little smoother, and I have not noticed any of the header related exhaust noises that some folks complain about with other headers. The car also seems to have just a tad more "oomph" down low, but that could be purely my imagination. I haven't checked out the top end yet.
I wish I could say that I now have a hundred more HP, get a hundred MPG, and that the header has completely reversed my male pattern baldness and made me look thirty years younger, but alas...

excited to see some numbers, I thought this thing would make 12 hp somewhere though?

If I hadn't gone FI I would have gotten this header, maybe its a good thing that I did this

I wonder how Invidia even produced this with the difficulty behind the install, you'd think they might reduce the 4th runner length.

Then again there is no compromise for ultimate performance. Let the Dynoing begin!

I don't put much stock in such things, but Invidia's dyno plots showed a 10 HP increase on an AP2.

I will be hitting the dyno a week from this Saturday, but I will not have a baseline, without the header, for comparison. When this header comes off, it'll be with an acetylene torch.

I installed the same header bout a month ago. Definitely a PITA. I took out most of the same stuff except the valve cover. I got a jack and lifted and lowered the motor a bit to jimmy it in. I got a few scratches on the valve cover, but eh, she's not a show car.

Haven't done a dyno yet, but it's gotten louder to the point where the wife won't drive or ride in it.

Yes, the cat is still in place
Here is a few more pics of the install

Very, very tight to the frame

Modification of the OEM heat shield is necessary if you want to use it
The blue tape shows were more metal has to be removed.

Quit yer bitchin'. That 7+ hours was the most fun you've ever had with your pants on, and you know it.

Those vendors that you and I talked to that supposedly had experience with the Invidia header and said it would slip into place like any other after-market S2000 header were obviously talking out their asses.
I'm not totally unhappy with the header, but knowing what I do now, I would not make the same choice again. I'll see how it does with a tune on the dyno and I'm predicting that the Invidia header is a lot more trouble than it's worth. I wouldn't recommend this header to anyone. It's nicely made, but very poorly designed.
Is any header worth the trouble / minimal gain they net vs how much you spend let alone who manufactors it? FWIW, all headers are a bitch to install. I've witnessed it first hand twice.
