UL,

What are the right bolt-ons?

If you can't list them for various reason could you send me a PM?

Oh, its very simple. AEM CAI, Hytech Exhaust custom full header/exhaust system (race type), Toda adjustable cam gears, AEM EMS.

I have a few more ideas that are class legal and should net more power, but the big limiter right now is the stock 62mm throttle body and unported intake manifold. With the air we're moving right now, I think we'd pick up 10-20 hp with a better intake mani and larger TB.

UL,

If you didn't have the WCHC limitations on headwork and could do a slightly more aggressive (not race, just more than a valvejob) P&P, along with a ported TB and IM, how much would you estimate you can make at the crank while still using stock cams? How much would you lose if you put the cat back in? I'm very interested in this setup (just need money). Thanks.

Its hard to say, but I think with full TB, IM and headwork, we could see 320 hp at the crank without much difficulty (call it 285-290 whp on my dyno - which is about 10-20 off the average supercharged car).

With the cat you are going to lose hp, probably at least 10 hp, if not more - and that assumes you can fit it into a proper length header.

UL, out of curiousity, where is your shop? I'm thinking of doing a stand alone and some headwork with my crate motor... I lost my first motor to a poor cam installation if that gives you an idea of the local "talent"...

Hmmmm...I know this was tried before but think there would be enough interest to get a GB of Erik's TBs?

Also aren't there a couple projects going to to vary the volume of IM? Curious about the impact there.

A new CF intake manifold has been tested by CTAE. I don't know if the results were posted yet, but it was originally tested with a stock TB. There were some midrange gains, but the top end didn't improve. However, that particular design might be perfect for the 2.2 as you don't want to rev it too high anyways on stock rods.

With the additional displacement of the 2.2L, wouldn't it flow more air at each rpm point than the 2.0L and thus it would also max out the CF IM and stock TB combo like the 2.0L up top?
Damn, I wish I had the money right now to get my F22C to 300bhp.
