Just changed my diff fluid from redline to amsoil
My first diff change was with mobile one. During my first change I found lots of metal shavings and metalic goo (oem fluid). Ever since, I have been changing my diff fluid with mobile one, but the last change I decided to use Redline to see if I could tell a difference. The amount of metal goo I found resembled when I first changed the fluid. It was pretty shocking because when I would change with mobile one i hardly found any metal goo. So in very unscientific terms, I will not be using redline because it appears that it doesnt do as well of a job as mobile one. Right now I put in amsoil to see how that would work.

Did you use Shockproof? If you did, then it doesn't last long. It's good protection for high shock/load applications but you can't leave it in for very long.

I used shockproof and i left it in about 20k (I do a lot of highway mileage).
If you check the analysis for Shockproof in that link I put up, after only a few thousand KMs, it showed that the protection ability of this fluid was GONE.

Shockproof is meant for heavily loaded racing diffs in vehicles that see frequent change intervals. It's not really made for use in daily drivers. Redline makes other oils that are more appropriate for that use, namely a 75w-90. You should also consider LE-607 for your longer change intervals.
