Let's talk custom intakes!
OK under the hood maniacs...here's the problem, let's use our collective brainpower and find a solution.
I am reinstalling my grille sans a cutaway on the left side of it which will hold (via screws) a cold air feed kit comprised of a small box (air collector) connected to flexible hose (3-inches in diameter). From the front of the car, it will simply look like a normal Grille Tech black grille with a rectangular box attached flush, replacing a block of about 7x2-inches of it.
Problem:
What is the most effective way to snake the hose up into the engine bay
from the FRONT of the grille location, leading directly into a protected filter about eight inches to the right of the wheel well.
I know there is a very small gap between the radiator and the frame on the left side but I'm not sure (unless I protect the ac lines someway) that the size of that gap would support a 3-inch wide hose.
I have not climbed under the car but is there a way for the hose to begin from the grille opening and snake into the wheel well thus leading up to the filter? I NEED to run the hose from directly in front of the car and not utilize the opening directly behind the brake duct I've already removed. If memory serves me, I know the wheel well sort of has a piece of the frame splitting the gap of space in half. I was thinking of removing that but for the life of me, I can't remember if there is a clear shot between the grille and the wheel well. I'm thinking the only air path in the wheel well comes from air entering the brake duct area. Am I wrong? Any pics?
I'm all ears! And hopefully...eyes.

I have a friend who swears by it but I have yet to give it a shot. I'm running 10W-30 Castrol Syntec with M1 for the gear differential. No shifting problems to date but will probably switch everything to Redline (motor, gear, diff) next up.
Thanks to Pete, I think I may have found my answer. Love the search engine at 2 in the morning!
Looks like I'll need to cut the plastic (same piece that is usually cut with the low-in-the-bay intakes) and then I'll have a clear shot up into the wheel well but does anyone have the directions on removing the side fender or can I get to this entire area just by removing the front bumper? Better yet, does anyone have a front-end shot jpeg of the front bumper removed? That ought to solve the question. The search engine isn't coughing one up.
