Location of engine control unit

where is and how can I access the ecu so that I may tap into the wires?

ECM is located on the drivers side behind the kick panel.

Make sure your warranty is expired. Otherwise, tapping into the ECU will definately VOID your warranty.

I didn't think an OBD2 device (like a scanner?) was an issue. Hacking the wiring will definitely void your warranty if the shop can prove it.
