Low oil on dipstick.... how bad?
#51
I've been tightening shift knobs with my eye socket for 17 centuries, since the invention of the eye socket.
I'm like a fukken OX, bruv...but only at the eye socket.
I don't understand the moral of your story. BUT it could be due to the MASSIVE brain damage I've sustained from mysterious events.

Well I'm a rebel WITH a cause my bro, don't you get it yet?

damage could occur if you drove in high g cornering and high rpm driving leading to oil starvation. If you drove relatively easy you might be fine. You are about 2 quarts low on oil, give or take. These motors consume oil so you need to check the dipstick regularly and consistently , it's one of the easiest ways to kill these motors if you don't
And yes, OEM S2000 oil filters should be torqued per spec.

You probably caught it soon enough that your good. I have read that compression loss in piston 4 indicates oil starvation so it seems likely that oil starvation damages cylinder 4 before others. I cant say why, so take it with a grain of salt.
