Default MAJOR HELP!!!!!!!! Calling all techs!!!!

Vortech SC is all done and installed.

Fired it up, instant CEL. After two minute warm up, shut it down as the directions states, fire it up again. At first it hesitates under throttle, then that clears up, but it won't rev. over 3,500 ....... goes into limp mode?????

First, is there a way to check to see what code I'm getting?

Second, if so, then does anyone have the code list to look them up??

Third. I also have a V-AFC on it, and in the directions for the SC, you have to cut and wire in/out the Map sensor (green/black wire). But you also do this with the V-AFC. So what I thought I should do is put the Vortech Map computer in line first, then the V-AFC (green/black wire from the engine into the Map computer, then into the V-AFC). Could that be the problem??

Need help bad, I took the day off to get it done, and the guy needs his car back .....

I guess I was right when I posted it in the other thread of yours. You have one of the defective black boxes. You have to send the black box back to Vortech. They don't have any ETA as to when they will have any in stock because right now I know a few people on this board are awaiting theres which have been sent out weeks ago.

Yeah, it's doing exactly what you described. You can send the box back and run on the stock timing, but you won't have any VTEC.

Here you go: https://www.s2ki.com/forums/showthread.php?...?threadid=80938

Hope you get it all worked out. Since it's an S2000 owner, the guys should be nice to you. Don't stress it, he should understand since it is in no way your fault.

Thanks, I printed this out to show the owner. I appreciate it!

Now, with the V-AFC, you would acutally have VTEC in thiat situation ......... but that would not necessarily be a good thing without proper timing controls ........
