I bought a scanner at is showing P0122 (Low TPS Input)

The thing is, I am checking the Voltameter and it is showing a smooth transition from .30-4.75v, no jumping up and down, WTF?

is it becasue the idle position is set at .3 as opposed to lets say.45?

You have the stock ECU?

Get the manual. The best thing you can get for that car ever. period.

There is a way to measure the voltage to the TPS. It should be about 5.0V. Unplug the connector, measure between pin 1 and 3 for volts. That's green/yellow and yellow/blue wires, accordingly. Should be about 5.

Then resistance on the sensor side. pin 1-2 should be .5-.9KOhms. Now, 2-3 _might_ be about 4.5KOhms. All that with closed throttle.

Plug connector back in.

At ECU side, with connectors plugged in, C18 (Green/Yellow) and C27 (Red/Black), volts should show .3 with throttle closed and 4.5V with fully open. That's with just IGN ON.

But should be 5V between C18 and _C28_ (yellow/blue).

This problem is more signal-feed related rather than signal-return related. IOW, it's the code for volts fed to the sensor than erroneous sensor output.

Check your grounds by the ECU.

Also, if you're gonna replace the TPS, please don't do that by replacing the whole Throttle Body as the manual says. There's a much cheaper way to do it.

hm, so maybe the actual TPS sensor isnt my problem?

I will ceck the Voltage going to the TPS, however if the TPS itself was not receiving proper voltage, wouldnt it not put out the proper voltage? (it is)

u still getting MIL light? check wiring then. check relays. check grounds. grounds get my vote right now. i bet one came loose.

if all that checks out, i would start to look at injector seals, IM bolts, things that would cause a leak and vacuum leak....then i would check if HG is blown or blowing. way off chance, but if all other things have been checked, then it needs to be checked.

I noticed when I pulled the Voltmeter the prongs were wet with rusty water, maybe it needs to dry it out

This blows
