Default Mis aligned pressure plate??

Does anyone know if this is even possible? The dealer is saying that i have a misaligned pressure plate, but the shop i got the ACT pressure plate installed at said there is no possible way to mis align a pressure plate! ARGH, i'm going around in circles and no one will fix anything! Anyone have any comments or knowledge? My clutch pedal is constantly changing in pressure and engagement points. The shop tells me my slave is bad, the dealer said it isnt bad so they wont warranty it, granted my clutch fluid was filthy, but that is changed. What the hell is wrong??

It is not easy to misalign a pressure plate as it is held all around with a bunch of bolts. That explanation does not ring true.

It sounds more like the mechanism which would be the fork and release bearing. Might also look at where the slave piston contacts the fork. Seems like the slave would either work or not so I don't think it is just a replacement required.

What you need is a real mechanic to get in there and take a look because all you are getting now seems to be stabs in the dark.
