Thumbs up My 01 will not start due to fried coil...

Dont't know if someone has had similar problems but, was coming back from a trip and then noticed it started running rough, pretty much sounded like it was running on 3 cylinders...
Then it didnt die but seemed like engine cut off still had the power to everything... Well took it to my work and hook it up and it gave me MISFIRING codes on all four cylinders... I checked the plugs and one of my coils were fried and melted in there... so chipped it out and got the plug out as well...
Just got my new coil in today and all new plugs... But will not start, I can try cranking it but nothing.. Could the other coils be bad too... I read somewhere else it could be the injectors or worse case checking the valves... What do you all think?

What shoudl I look at first???
Thanks,
Brandon

If the coil was melted into the spark plug well, it got REALLY HOT. That means bad things have happened to the engine, beyond the immediate problem of a melted coil pack.

I recommend that you get the car inspected by a competent mechanic who can perform the correct tests and determine what is wrong with your engine.

Check your fuses When the coil melts it shorts out the coil circuit and blows the fuse and you get no spark. Be sure to check compression and leakdown after you get it running. quite often that cylinder is damaged when thei happens. G/L.
