My S2000 2002 throw a P0107 Code. Need help :)
Hi folks,
My car just started to act weird. My S2K was in storage all winter. The battery was dead so I replaced it by a new one yesterday and now, the engine won't rev over 3400rpm. At 3400k rpm it cuts and sometimes the rpm goes to 300-400 rpm and want to stall. The car is throwing a P0107 OBD2 code. It is the only code throwed by the car. I replaced the MAP sensor and no luck. Didn't change anything. Can someone tell me what I should do from there
Regards,
Frank

Oil has been replaced. Yes the battery has been disconnected for a long period of time. I cannot smash it. It doesn't want to rev over 3k and shack, stall,ect..

Check for continuity in wiring if you have access to a DMM. If you don't have access to one, look in your engine bay for signs of rodents. Easily spotted with droppings left behind, insulation torn up, wire's being frayed. I've seen this too many times especially if you've already replaced the MAP.
After checking that, wiggle the wires while engine is on and see if it brings your idle back to normal at any point in time and try and isolate the wire that's fixing the idle as that will be your problem wire. You will want to wiggle the wires from each ends.
I'm not sure what kind of scan tool you have but monitor your voltage at your MAP, during idle it should be between 0.5 and 1 volt.
If it can't idle and you can't exceed 3400 rpms, it sounds to me like your ECU has no communication with it at all. So this can either be wiring or a bad ECU.
