Default Need advice: Melted Plastic on exhaust pipes

Last night I ran over a plastic bag on the freeway and didn't think much of it, untill this morning I smelt melted plastic. To my surprise, a white plastic bag melted onto my exhaust pipes. Now the question is, what should I use to remove it? I was able to scrape the big pieces off, but the "coating" of melted plastic isn't easily removed. Is there some type of solvent I can use to remove the plastic without eating the exhaust pipes as well?
Here are some pics for kicks:

It looks like something I ran over got really REALLY excited and uh... Just kidding...

So any suggestions?

Johnny

You can let it burn off, or attempt to remove it with some type of abrasive. I would use some green scotch brite pads and WD-40.
