need help pulling tranny

Default need help pulling tranny

tryn to take my block out but cannot get the block separated from the trany! everything is off and out of the way and will come apart a lil bit but not all the way. any ideas?

I'm guessing you have too much pressure pulling up on the engine (or down on the trans). Once everything is supported and there's no load, it should slide apart

Did you pull the clutch fork out? Remove the clutch cylinder pull the fork out a little (It will fall into the housing) If you do not do this you will not be able to separate Tran from engine. Just pull it out some and it will stay in housing until they are separated.

its shouldn't drop out. it should pull apart. i know it seems like common sense but there are those people out there.

Go locate the LOWER starter bolt. This is to ensure that you removed the upper, not the lower, bolt. I don't understand why, but it seems to be a common mistake.

all the bolts are out there is nothin left to be takn out. we have gotn it apart a good ways and it just seems like there is somthin holding it up and its pissn me off.! im about to just pull it all out..lol

As someone suggested earlier, have you confirmed that the clutch fork has been disengaged from its pivot?
