No crank, no start
This is my fourth s2000 and I've never had a problem like this before. Mind boggling and frustrating at the same time. I've searched around and replaced many parts and at this point, I'm about to set the car on fire and get a family van.
To start off, the car is a:
-2001 SSM
-175k miles, yeah I know.
-Clean title
-Coilovers
-pioneer headunit
It started it off when I left work, car started normally. I stopped at a convenience store to get a drink, came out and tried to start the car and nothing. I turned the key all the way to "II" position, wait for the car to prime and pushed the start button but no cranking, no cluster light dimming, nothing. I ended up having a friend help me push start the car and it started, took the car home. Left the car home until the weekend to work on it.
I thought it would be battery so I took the battery to two different autoparts store and got tested, it was fine. Took out the starter and tested it, the gear wasn't popping out but was spinning so I figured it was bad and replaced it. Got a new starter, installed it on the weekend. Tried to start the car again and nothing. Then I tried searching on the forums for solutions and thought maybe it could be the main relay but didn't really know how to test if PGM-FI main relay is good or not. Read somewhere that I could tell if it was good if I turn the car to the on position and the green immobilizer key comes on then turns off. Well...turns out the same time that I tried to diagnose if it was a bad PGM-FI relay, the cluster doesn't turn on anymore. The only thing that lights up is the battery light and nothing else. No RPMs, gas, nothing. At this point I'm all out of ideas and resources. I'm reaching out to you guys/gals. Help please!
