Easy, get some thick rubber carpet underlay cut it to size and just lay it on top, sorted, as an extra benefit it acts as sound deadening too.

I'm hoping someone can help me with the noise I've got now. The noise is coming from the rear passenger wheel, and is a cyclic squeak, i not sure how else to describe it, it only happens when i turn right (helped determine its from the left wheel)and at low speeds around 6-15mph (9-24kmh), I've not noticed it happen in reverse. The noise started about 1month after i spun in the rain and went up a curb. Ive had suspension checked, brakes checked, haven't noticed any rubbing, the brake dust cover isn't in the way, Ive had a full wheel alignment, the wheel alignment reduced the noise but its come back. The bearing seems fine, I'm just out of ideas. Hoping someone can help or has seen something similar. Hoping this is the correct thread to post this in.

Cheers

Dave

Edit: incase anyone has a similar problem. It was the rear passenger axle nut that was loose, i re-tourqued it following a thread on here and the noise has gone. Simples!

Having an annoying rattle issue that happens all the time. I can hear it right in my left ear, almost either the edge of the door or the top. I have narrowed it down to the door and took off the door skin and saw nothing. Anyone else have this same rattle and have a tip for me? It rattles while driving and heavy bass music can make it go as well.

Happens with the door skin on or off so its something inside the door. It sounds like the latch moving back and forth but its not. Something inside the door.

I knew about the spare tire bolt so I tried re-tightening but didn't help. I could jerk the back of the spare tire down and recreate the noise I would hear in the cabin. I removed it to find a wear mark on the metal floor. I noticed the foam piece that was installed was squished thin. So I removed it, rotated it, and super-glued it back with the thick part lining up under the metal spare tire wheel.

Hope this helps someone.

I found that the recirculate button on my dash would buzz at around 3k to 4k RPMS. I need to find a cleaner solution but for now, I just cut a tiny bit of black electrical tape and put it at the bottom of the button.

When starting my car.. There is a rattle from the engine bay.. Sounds like something near the alternator? Sounds like a metal wire or something clashing against other metal?

Anyone else have this problem? or found what it is?

Sup guys,

I have a solution for a rattle that no one has posted yet. I have a 2007 AP2 with a little over 60,000 miles on the clock. Mine started out with a single clicking noise coming from the rear of the vehicle when starting from a stop. All signs pointed to a loose axle nut, and I had all the following nuts tightened: engine mounts, propeller shaft bolts, transmission mount, differential bolts and mount, axle nuts. My mechanic also took off the propeller shaft and checked the play in both ends--one end was seizing up pretty bad and he pointed it out as a likely culprit.

Unfortunately this didn't fix my problem, but it did make my car feel more solid and the clicking almost went away completely. After driving for about a week with everything tightened, the clicking started to get bad again. I took my car back in to have my axle nuts tightened again according to Billman's specs, but the problem persisted.

Finally, I managed to snag a used propeller shaft off a forum member. The clicking has not returned since! Hopefully this helps others with their clicking woes.

I've got a very faint rattle. Almost a buzz. Sounds like it's coming from the right side of the car, behind the passenger seat, maybe in the softtop? Not a clue but it's incredibly annoying and I can't pinpoint it.
If the car is moving, it's buzzing about 90% of the time
