Hi Guys,

I just discovered a new rattle with my recently purchased 05, I don't normally hit vtec but went for a little twisty drive with a friend yesterday and had her singing the vtec tune for a bit, I noticed at 6500 rpm I get this metallic rattle noise, it appears to be from my driver side roll hoop area as my passenger kinda felt around the car and held it or push on the roll hoop area and it kinda went away. Has anyone else experience this or can someone let me know what I should check for. It was very consistent at 6500rpm and above, once I left off the throttle it was stop around 6400-6500 rpm, this happened in both 3rd and 4th gear. Thanks for any info.

If your engine is cold = nothing => TCT
When accelerate if the noise follow we are on the good way ^^
Try the TCT fix (video on Youtube, it take 30 minutes)

 

I already fixed it.

i followed diy from this forum, and sandblasted it. it is ok now

 

Hey all I posted a thread about this as well but I might as well put it here too so it doesn't go unnoticed. Cannot for the life of me figure out this sound, can someone please help identify this.

Things I've already done
-TCT
-Injector seals
-Serpentine belt
-Exhaust gaskets to the cat and from cat to resonator
-Changed oil and filter

Guys from a local shop said something about the intake but how could the intake make this noise my intake looks fine.

 

I have a metal grinding-like noise under hard acceleration around 4000 rpm that sounds as if I am grinding a gear. What could this be? Anybody else have this issue? I have a 2000 model year car.

 

idk how to go about fixing the rattle on the driver side sun vizor, if i push against it, it simply goes away. do you guys have any suggestions?

Anyone know what this rattling is? Could it be the beginnings of TCT? Alternatively could it be to do with the VTEC?
Does not make any noise on startup but as the engine warms up sound happens at revs in the video:
