i've had "terrible" oil consumption since day 1, this is using amsoil 10w30.

my consumption was about 1 quart per 2,000 miles.

after I installed the krank vents, my consumption is about 1 quart per 5,000 miles, of which i was VERY HAPPY with.

my compression recently was 205, 190, 205, 205.

i'm a little concerned about the "190" but I haven't done a leakdown test yet.

that is on my list.
A leakdown test is always a good idea periodically. I'm not sure if you should be worried about the 190 number or not. Part of that depends on the conditions of the test ("wet" test or not).
1 qt per 2000 miles is a little on the high side, but not even close to the worse I've heard of in the S2000. 1qt per 5000 miles is much more reasonable though.
