Default Oil leak help please

I just bought this s2000 used with highmileage 130,000 but I do work on my cars myself. So not yet too familiar with this engine.

Hers my problem:
I get a (1 drop) of oil on TOP of my oil filter, on the oil pressure sensor and the hose above the oil filter (this area) every time I drive to work 20 miles one way. Something is leaking above it.

- I touched the bolts holding the Cam chain tensioner and no oil.
- There is oil on the vtec solonoid / valve bolts.

Any thoughts?
- Is it hard to remove and check this v tec valve? any special tools needed?.
- Can it leak from oil cooler the filter is on? maybe squirt up??

Thanks in advance for anyones help...

Actually there is a little oil sweat comming out of valve cover beside the header. I'll check for prices today and remove and replace this weekend. While i'm opening this up any thoughts on what other things I can check?

Thanks

Hey jun, check for broken/cracked retainers i forgot to mention that when you got the car. The AP2s have a beefier retainer that some have upgraded to.

the broken retainer is the one on the right, you can see that it's "dropped" you can only see the "cracks" on the under side, since thats where it seems to start

you mean the one on the right don't you ?

To the OP, while you replace your valve cover gasket, you should get the kit with the spark plug gaskets as well, or they will likely leak after you reassemble things and then you're going to be in there twice. The kit costs more but you might as well do all of them at once. My valvecover gasket was leaking at 55k miles so I replaced all that gaskets. I'd suggest doing a valve clearance adjustment and inspection while you have the valvecover off the engine.
