[QUOTE=epicanthal,Mar 18 2010, 02:03 PM] It was tough trying to decide which diff oil to choose, but of course LE1605 seems to get a lot of positive noise.

its that time of the month again : ]

I ended up with
Motor oil: Amsoil SAE 10W-30
Tranny: honda mtf2
Diff: LE1605

This was a great choice overall. The amsoil didn't burn oil like Mobile 1 did. Diff and tranny still feel great after 30k

I'm switching to AMSOIL as well but the 10w40 special blend.

I used to run royal purple in the diff but 2 months after I switched to it my diff was bad. Was it royals fault or just coincidence? not sure, but i'm not testing it on my new diff.
i hate royal purple, i change my impreza tranny oil and in one month the tranny looked like scrambled eggs

engine- castrol 10w30
tranny- redline mt-90 (best stuff ever)
diff- lucas HD

Valvoline Syntec 10W-30 (always been best for MY high revving motors, where mobil 1 can't hang)

Amsoil MTF (Not entirely satisfied) Going with Honda MTF 2 next time

Amsoil Severe Gear 75W. (completely satisfied)

In terms of Engine Oil, I use the Walmart 10-30w Synthetic. I've always used it in my other racing toy (high-rev and high compression 4AGE) and no issues at all. It's known to be one of the best 'Bang for your Buck' synthetic oils out there...do some research and you'll see

Respectfully,

They don't make a w30 in that blend and I live in AZ where heat is in the max range, especially on track days. I also run about 1.5x the stock hp/tq
