I'm out of discussion too because obviously there are some who don't know much about the issue and get too frustrated to talk about it intelligently...maybe it's just s2ki isn't the place. I come on here for relaxed, mindless, chat anyway.

Bringing natural disasters into the discussion is a weak attempt too.

Sorry for tainting your thread Roja but I had to say something about the environmental issue because it's the only thing I think about when I hear the words test pipe.

 

 

Haha...so I can turn this into global warming...sorry Ryan, its just hilarious.

FYI, Since the beginning of earth there has been a cycle of warming and cooling trends...currently our planet is in a warming trend and it is not caused in any way by man. (I'm not saying that we are not polluting the air to some extent, but WE are not causing global warming). If you go back to the 70's media was saying there was going to be another ice age because there was a cooling trend for a few years. Also the research which states that we are causing this global warming is utter bullsht. The research has not been conducted long enough to prove anything you'd need to do research for thousands of years, because that is how these cycles take place...not over a whopping 50-60 years that cars have been polluting the environment. Anyway, I am in no way supporting the fact that we should pollute the environment (even though I personally have a test pipe) but I know that we are not going to do any real damage, hell we will run out of oil to do damage with before it would even start to hurt our planet. Everybody, just go take some simple meteorology classes at an accredited college from a knowledgeable professor, and learn.

Global warming is pretty off topic here. As I stated the cat performs the following functions:

It reduces carbon monoxide(a poisonous gas), volatile organic compounds(a major component of smog), and nitrogen oxides(contributes to smog and acid rain, and also causes irritation to human mucus membranes).

Monixide poisoning, smog, and acid rain are all separate issues from global warming.

BIG SURPRISE. Cognitive dissonance padded by your denial that there are negative effects caused by carbon monoxide, volatile organic compounds, and nitrogen oxides. You might as well be honest with yourself and admit you're polluting more than most people on the road.

 

This sort of reminds me of the guys that stole the collection of rare coins from a neighbor and said they dug'em up in their back-yard. They probably would have gotten away with the theft, but got caught when they did interviews about their find on the national news. Let see, how many Ro Ja Boy's are there in Vegas who drive Sebring S2Ks. Oh no, look in your mirror ... is that a police car?
