Car started misfiriing but no CEL. Scanned it and there was a P1399 code pending, had to drive on it for a while and check engine never came up.
Car seems to misfire worse at low rps and high, seems normal-ish in the middle.

Things Ive tried.

Check plugs.
Check compression.
Check valve adjustments.
Check for loose know sensor.

Next is try to find some coils to swap.

Any other suggestions? I see other threads but most are getting a CEL as well as other codes/

 

Also is there a difference in coils AP1 vs AP2?

 

It was one of the coils. Autozone coil ftw.

 

What is the autozone coil compatible with these cars?

I know majestic will ream you on shipping but if you buy 4 it's going to come out wayyy less...

 

wasnt cheap but I only needed one and asap. it was the fastest option
