Default Power Issue

Hey s2ki, I just came back from the dyno, got my car flashed. My tuner told me I wasn't making normal power. I was making 195 Horsepower and 130 torque. I don't know if it's normal. My car is MY07, 109,000, only mods I have is tires, J's racing 70RR, and lowered springs.

Your tuner is correct, that is concerningly low. My bone stock 06 made 210, and my 01 with HFC/I/UK exhaust and VAFC tune made 208. Both on a very consirvative mustang Dyno

Is there anyway to figure out what the problem could be?

Since it is a DBW car I would start with a valve adjustment and plug change if it has not been done in a while. DBW cars were natorious for exhaust valves tightening and regardless of the issue you don't want that.

I would also do a compression test.

Compression test, for sure. You are really down on torque. Car must feel sluggish, compare to a normal S2000. Car has good air filter and regular oil changes?

JOC, how did he calibrate the dyno?

I change the oil every 2000 miles, and the car has it's stock air box with a K&N filter.

How does the power feel? You prolly should feel a drop in performance. Maybe, the dyno's numbers are inaccurate?

The feels fine to me, the tuner does have an actuate dyno called the heart break dyno if that helps. From the previous owner the car was tracked a lot, and it could be suffering from a warn engine. Which I hope it's not, I wanna keep the car as long as I can.
