Default Problem with Bleeding the Clutch

Hello all,

Up until yesterday I realized my clutch has close to no pressure or resistance and the engagement point is almost down to the floor.

I asked a few s2ki friends and they all suggested me to do a clutch bleed. I first tried the gravity bleed, used a turkey baster to suck out the old brake fluid, and replaced it with new DOT 3 to the max level. I then jacked up the car, took off the rubber, stuck in a clean airline tube, loosened the nut...nothing came out. This couldn't be normal?

So then I tried the traditional clutch bleed method by having one person under the car with the bleeder and one person pushing and pulling the clutch pedal...we did it same way we bleed the brakes. After more than 15 minutes or so of bleeding, air bubbles were seen, but this process never ended that night. This couldn't be normal also, right? Most would only take around 10 minutes.

So now we are thinking that it could have been the slave cylinder's problem?

Thanks,
Kevin

Try disconnecting the slave hold it upright and press down on the plunger, now bleed it.

Unbolt slave. Point bleeder straight up. Pump push rod all the way in, all the way out slowly, 15 times.

Do not open the bleeder.
