I have started to notice some problems w/ my s2k

I don't believe I have done anything to cause this problem (this is a used 05 w/ 14k miles) but it only happens occasionally.

When ever i go to like 1st or 2nd from neutral it gets stuck in the left slot in the middle of 1st and second.

Like say |- is 1st (top) and 2nd (bottom) it gets stuck in the middle right there. and then when i notice it i try to push it into gear and my clutch/gears grind together and it sounds really bad. It also happened to me when i was trying to get into reverse as well, it got stuck on the right side of the box and when i tried to pull it into reverse it grinded.

Maybe its just me?

This happens occasionally like maybe 1ce or 2ce every 2 weeks

change your tranny fluid...

 

Remove the shifter from the tranny and put a bunch of urea grease on the ball and socket joint. See the Rick's short throw shifter instructions for pictures of the parts removal process.

 

i noticed that has happened to me too from mostly from 5th to 6th. Occurred just after my accident. haven't experienced the grinding of any kind though. Feels like something broke so its not sliding correctly and smoothly to the gears.
