Default proper way to reset the ECM?

I'm getting a P1410 DTC, and in the helm manual it says to reset the ECM but doesn't say how or where to look up to find out how. Will pulling the backup fuse on the fuse panel be sufficient? what is the proper way to reset the ECM?

ya know, i think i've answered this question 4 times this week alone. i'm about to become one of those smart asses who just posts a .gif of the search box and leave it at that.

fuse in the 3rd slot on the right bank underneath the driver's side (remember ... 3rd slot, not 3rd fuse). pull that sucker out, wait 30 secs to a min, put it back in, and it's reset.

Or you can just pull the negative battery terminal out and reconnect, right? Just
remember your radio code.
