Default Pushing Rubber Grommet Back

Is there a trick to getting these wire grommets back in under the hood? I'm trying to pin down a leak and noticed mine must have jostled its way out at some point, but my god, I can't get the dang thing back in; there's just not a lot of room to push. Is there a tool or trick that you guys have had luck with? Here's a shot of it when it was in. I can see how it might work if I pull it back in, but that seems like it would require a dash removal.

You can use a pipe(pvc, plastic, metal your choice) with a piece of it cut out so you can slip it over the wires and drive it in with a rubber mallet?

you talking about the grommet that the engine harness passes through?

put a little shinitsu grease on it and work it in. you may have to remove other things to get better access to it.
