Question about an s2000 before i purchase
I passed on that same listing. I'm in the bay area and got cash waiting for the one, but the prices keep going up and up as summer approaches. That listing sounds attractive at first (new parts and low price), but widen your search to L.A. and you'll see there are many many more down there for this price range with lower miles. I started a spreadsheet on all listings I've found and it seems that as far as AP2's go, up north the median price is just under $21k while down south it is a more reasonable $17.5k.
Oh, if $16,800 is a good price for that mileage to you, check out the one for $19993 in San Leandro.
1) it has a new top from the dealer
2) it has had all of its service done by the dealer up to its currently mileage
3) they've had it for over a month and you can probably get them to drop $2k.
I really don't want any form of the silver at this time so I passed. I did drive it though and it felt tight and in good condition.

Its hard to say. I just picked up a 2000 in which the motor blew and he replaced it with a full built block and as well as a few performance goodies. Guy was cool as shit. The reciept for the motor came to almost 8k. I bought the car for 10800. And personally i totally trusted this guy. Theres always good deals that come along, just need to wait. Dont jump on the first thing you see.
