Agree with everything xviper says, except it should be 91 mph at 9000 rpm. That's based on both gearing/speed calculations and personal experience.

The Reverand created a really nice web based gearing calculator (Here). It has a 'Use S2000 Gearing' button that will show the speed ranges for each gear. As many have stated above, this has everything to do with the gearing, and nothing to do with power.
