rear end swap
I've been debating back and forth with myself what to do with my rear end. I kept leaning towards inlines conversion kit but wanted to try and find something cheaper. I've been searching and searching. I found a guy who is in the process of installing an ls1 in his s2000. He also put an 8.8 in for his rear end. 8.8's can be found very cheap. He said the cobra mustang from 00-04 fit very well. When I asked him how much work was needed for the swap he responded with, "It was not to hard just a couple of pieces of steel, some bolts and a welder". I then asked him what the overall cost was and he said $1300. He using stock suspension and breaks. I'll be speaking with him more tomorrow to get more details.
